Sorry for no actual in depth battle reports but heres a little wrap up of the games ive played recently.

My Iron hands wipe the tyranids from the board. Purge the Alien!

Imperial Guard “Gate Crushers” vs Black Templars.

Black Templars hold strong against the firepower of my traitor guard, and i forget you can’t score objectives from vehicles in 6th edition! snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. (damn you GW!) 

REMATCH! Imperial Guard vs Black Templars.

My guardsmen stand their ground after being bombarded by Vindicators before aerial support arrives in the form of my Vendetta carrying veteran guardsmen, stealing the Black Templar objective from right under their noses and securing victory. Death to the followers of the False Emperor!

Purge the Alien

The Space wolves find themselves cursed by the dark gods, and a series of bad rolls nearly wins the game for me just like that! Arjac is no threat to my forgefiend and dies under a mass of hades autocannon fire, while Chaos Lord Torrex, and his Chosen advance up the field, followed by this Nurgle marked marines. I sweep the Wolves back into their holes and claim the Rune Priest’s head in the process, the First of many victories for Torrex.

I read the new white dwarf today and i keep getting more and more excited. 

These new sniper rules are just more reason to get DeathMarks, and im happy about that.

god damn im excited for friday night.

Back in the game, Back in the mix

Been too obsessed with board games and card games

but the recent purchase of some Imperial guard is getting the 40k juices flowing again, ill -try- to actually post some progress on the army as it gets going.

Its Mech Guard, you know. that old leaf blower garbage that used to be the rage like 4 years ago or whatever

but ill enjoy it and guard is fun to paint, mostly.

Hey everybody, the name’s Jack — Hessian7 to you internet people — and I’m a casual gamer who goes to the local game store that everybody else here goes to.

So I’ve been playing this 40k game for about 3 years now, I started on the very end of 4th ed, and the rest is history. My main army is Tyranids, and though I’ve had them for my entire 40k career, I’ve barely painted them at all! So expect some painting articles from me as I make my journey to paint up an entire 2000 point list that I have made.

As well as the bugs, I have started a pre-Heresy Night Lords army consisting mainly of the MKIV bodies from Forgeworld, as well as any of the old vehicles that I can get my hands on so I’ll try and get some articles on them as well.

So when I say that I’m a casual gamer, I really mean that I’m a competitive gamer at heart, but with the rolls I get I might as well be a casual gamer! But I do very much enjoy this game of ours; from the aesthetics to the fluff and of course all the game play.

I also enjoy making semi-competitive lists, so if you want me to try and make a list for you, just hit me up! Thanks for your time guys, and I’m looking forward to putting up some more content!

This is a thread of in-progress armies from around the FLGS. I am so hungover and late for work but I promised the bros I’d post. With the tournament coming up, we’re aiming to have it all painted because we GO BIG OR DON’T GO. Got a week and a half to do it. So here.
